Founded by Stella Mann, the College began as a dance school in Hampstead in 1946. Mary Breen has been sole Principal and owner since 1989. Students are offered the opportunity to study for the Stella Mann College Diploma, the Stella Mann College Teaching Diploma, the National Diploma in Professional Dance and the National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre validated by Trinity College, London. The National Diploma qualifications offer a Level 6 NQF. In addition, Stella Mann College has CDET accreditation, which enables students to graduate with Equity status. We also offer the opportunity to students with accelerated prior learning to join the College for a one or two year course, and in some cases, to study for the National Diploma. The college is an approved ISTD centre, and offers Units 1, 4 and 5 of the Level 3 FDI qualification in tap, ballet and modern, depending on demand. Units 2 and 3 are available via a distance learning tutor, at additional cost which is payable directly to the tutor, and Unit 6 is self- taught.
