Performance Opportunities
Every year, the College creates as many performance opportunities as possible. The summer production is held at a commercial theatre and the whole College usually transfers to the theatre for the show week so that students may gain the experience of working in professional theatre. This production usually has a theme, and every student gets the opportunity to appear in both the matinee and the evening show. The third-year graduation and diploma ceremony is usually held between the matinee and evening performance.
Agents and casting directors are invited to the performance, and the Trinity College assessors also attend to make their final judgements on the participating third year students.
There are also regular performances at the end of either the Autumn and or the Spring terms. These performances are usually held at local theatres such as the Radlett Centre, a purpose built theatre. The college aims to produce a full length musical once a year.
Externally, the students participate in galas and charity events as often as possible. Examples of student work include Bedford River Festival, SM:TVLive, the Discovery Channel and galas at the Landmark and the Wembley Plaza hotels. The College has also appeared at the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Beck Theatre, the Fire-Fighters Benevolent Fund Raiser at the Albert Hall and on a pop video for Cherry Falls, at Wicksteed Park in Old Time Music Hall and in their Christmas shows. Students have also performed in hair shows and workshop musicals whilst training at the college. Other performances include appearances at Legoland in Windsor, at Thorpe Park, and at the Hitchin Schools Platform. And of course, students are appearing at Move It!
