Jon Rees BA(Hons), PG Dip (RCM), MA, PhD
After reading Music at Durham University, Jon studied a Postgraduate Advanced Performance Diploma at the Royal College of Music in Repetiteur Studies and was awarded the Ricordi Prize for Opera Conducting. He completed an MA in Music with Distinction and a PhD in Musicology with the Open University. He has been Musical Director on many musicals and operas with professional companies and youth groups. He has taught Singing and Musical Theatre at Stella Mann College since 1997 and has been the Course Leader of the College since 2012. He is also a fully qualified personal trainer and sports massage therapist.
