Katy trained at Laine Theatre Arts, graduating in 2009 with a National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre, and has enjoyed a varied career ever since:
Artists Katy has been a backing vocalist for and performed with include: Justin Timberlake (The Brit Awards 2018), Gary Barlow, Mica Paris, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Chris Stapleton, Sheridan Smith, Rachel Stevens, Red, Beth Macari, Rachel Kerr, Sir Bryn Terfel, Ruby Turner, Marisha Wallace, Ramon Karimloo, Nicola Roberts, KSI, Yemi Alade, Ella Eyre and Pixie Lott.
She has toured extensively, including Europe and Asia, with Soul Sister, Whitney: Queen of The Night, The Magic of Motown: Soul Legends, The World of Musicals, and lended her vocals to recordings for Mister Maker and The Shapes Australian and Hong Kong tours. Additionally, she was the choreographer for German tours of Tina: The Rock Legend and Celtic Angels.
Television work includes: VJ Day, Remembrance Day 2020 from the Royal Albert Hall, The Earthshot prize Ceremony (Mark De-Lisser, for BBC One), The Olivier Awards 2013 with Soul Sister and BBC Concert Orchestra from The Royal Opera House, The Brit Awards 2018 with Justin Timberlake and the London Community Gospel Choir. In 2021 Katy appeared in the BBC One hit show I Can See Your Voice, reaching the final round to sing a duet with Nadine Coyle.
Katy has toured Brazil playing the role of Tina Turner in One Night of Tina, and has toured America with Whitney Queen of the Night playing the role of Whitney Houston. Katy regularly performs private events in London as Tina Turner and Whitney Houston.
Katy sins regularly across the World with some of the UK’s finest corporate bands including ALR Music, LDN, Earthlights and Next Level Music. She also sings with Urban Voices Collective.
Katy is a qualified Vocal First Aider. As a passionate educator, Katy has held the Head of Singing position at Stagecoach and Ensemble Singing at Stella Mann College. During the Summer of 2016, her choir performed as part of the National Stagecoach Performance at the Prince Edward Theatre in London’s West End.
