Mental Health Support
Viven was part of the premiere cast of Miss Saigon in Stuttgart, Germany and played Gigi in the show. She started her professional performing career in the Philippines as a tv dancer and as an actor at Repertory Philippines, after earning her BA (Hons) Degree in Communication Arts. Theatre credits and shows include The Wiz, Camelot, The Emperor’s New Clothes, West Side Story Gala as Anita, For the Children benefit concert with The Stuttgart Ballet and Principal dancer, Benito Marcelino, Benefit Gala Show with Saltimbanco cast of Cirque Du Soleil as one of the lead singers. She was also part of the Miss Saigon band that did corporate shows and concerts in Germany and some parts of Europe.
She taught singing in Musical Theatre masterclasses and Summer Schools in London, Manila, and in Parma and Salsomaggiore Terme in Italy for three consecutive years. With her 15 years of teaching experience, she moved on to being an Academic support at Bedford College and studied short courses related to Special Educational Needs, in Counselling and Mental Health, which lead to pursuing her Master’s Degree in Psychology.
She gained the following UK qualifications:
MSc in Psychology, Level 5 SEN Higher Level Advanced course, Level 4 Advanced Mental Health Counselling, Level 4 Advanced CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Level 3 Counselling Skills, Level 3 Mental Health First Aid, Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Level 3 The Core Values of Supported Employment, Level 2 Understanding Behaviour That Challenges (Children and Young Adults), Level 2 Awareness of Mental Health Problems (Children and Young Adults).
She is currently the college’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Support.
