At Stella Mann College we believe that it is vital to get the right balance between technical training and performance opportunities, where students are able to demonstrate their skills and grow as performers.
As a College, the end of each term culminates in an internal performance opportunity:
Main Performances
THE CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE
The Christmas Show is focussed on presentation of musical theatre work, either in a full or condensed musical or devised show focussing on the work of a particular composer or choreographer, or style of musical theatre.
THE EASTER PERFORMANCE
The Easter Show allows first and second year students to showcase a range of dance and musical theatre skills, and the third year students create, direct and choreograph their own show, which is assessed as part of the Degree and Trinity College Diploma programmes.
THE SUMMER PERFORMANCE
Held at the Alban Arena in St Albans, the Summer Performance is the largest show we stage. Every student in the College is featured in a wide range of pieces, demonstrating the skills they have honed throughout the year.

In addition to these performances we also engage in a number of external performances, which allow us to take groups of students to a variety of venues to gain an even more diverse experience of performing to different audiences. Recent external performances have included:
Additional Performances
GROVE DANCE
the Grove Theatre stages a celebration of local dance talent, to which we contribute a number of pieces.
IDEAL HOME CHRISTMAS SHOW
held at Olympia London, where we provide sets of Christmas-themed songs on the lovely Bandstand stage.
MOVE IT
the huge annual expo of dance colleges, schools and businesses attracts thousands of industry professionals and young dancers. The College performs dance pieces on the main stage in front of the huge crowds and musical theatre and tap pieces in the smaller Showcase Theatre. This is a great opportunity to represent the College in front of the rest of the dance community.
