Walt Disney Studios
We’re excited about the output of Disney and their continual approach to remaking live-action versions of animated Disney classics and the opportunities it presents. Our graduate Johnny White will be a featured dancer in Rob Marshall’s Mary Poppins Returns (2018) featuring an excellent cast – Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Our faculty member Marina Abdeen and guest teacher Mandy Montanez are both dancers who will appear in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast (2017) live-action remake starring Emma Watson. Moreover, members of our team worked within VFX/MoCap crews, with Wolfgang Mwanje as a Movement Specialist in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Alysia Wildman as VFX Production Coord on Jon Favreau’s live-action The Jungle Book (2016). As mentioned above, Hannah Levitt Collins’ role on Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) is part of the Disney studios output.
